Due to the forecasted severe weather conditions, including heavy snow and wind chills expected to drop below zero degrees, the 2025 Valentines Day 5k race has been changed to a virtual event to ensure the safety of all participants.
How to Participate in the Virtual Race:
- Use the Its Your Race App: You can track and submit your 5k time using the Its Your Race mobile application.
- Email Your Time: If you prefer not to use the app, you can simply email your 5k completion time to info@run-ne.com.
Important Note:
The in-person race has been canceled. All medals, including the award for completing all three Winter Fitness Events in 2025, will be mailed to participants.

Event details and schedule
The Winter Fitness Series supports healty lifestyle for youth and adults. All races begin at 10:00 am sharp. Packet pickup and race day registration opens at 8:30 at the park office. Proceeds from the event benefit all go to support the USATF Nebraska Association Long Distance Running (LDR) Program.
The weather forecast should dictate your outfitting for race day. Please bring your mittens and warm dry clothes if you choose to change post run.
